Flowers Galore! Petunias Are Sore!

Hey, Floki here! Momma wants to show you the flowers at the greenhouse she and PawPaw went to yesterday.

Isn’t it so gorgeous?! This photo is for Cee’s Flower of the Day Challenge.

They went to the greenhouse to buy the yearly Petunia baskets that will hang on the front porch. Honestly, the greenhouses at this place looked spectacular but the Petunia baskets were a bit disappointing.

They bought three of them anyways thinking that last year they bought them at the end of May and so these ones just aren’t as far along yet. Here’s what they looked liked the day we bought them last year. Very full and round.

PawPaw likes to take care of this type of situation so he’ll either end up making the Petunia baskets totally spectacular or he’ll kill them with love. We’re just proud of him for giving the petunias his all, like he does all the time for us because he loves us all very much. We love him very much, too. He’s fooled with them and they look better than when we first brought them home.

For now, all of the petunia and fern baskets have to stay in the back so we can bring them in at night because it’s too cold yet.

Well, time for me to get up and do some exploring. Remember to always look up. Number one, for safety reasons and number two, because you might see something beautiful or interesting that you would otherwise miss.

Thanks for stopping by and we’ll talk to you real soon!

  1. The greenhouse is beautiful. More colorful than my field of flowers. Wow.

They will fill out and be just as beautiful as last year. You’ll see.

    Floki, you’re adorable.

    Have a fabulous day. β™₯

    1. Last year is the first year we’ve had petunias and we learned from the greenhouse folks that to avoid straggleness they have to be in full sun, watered everyday with a gallon of water and they suggested we feed them everyday with Jack’s Petunia Fertilizer. We also trimmed them once and they got even more full. Everyone has a green thumb but some plants/flowers are easier than others. πŸ€—πŸ˜Ί That’s why we like Zinnias ~ Easy! LOL!
