Hi! It’s me, Zoe!
There has not been too much going on because it’s been so cold outside. It was so cold I didn’t even want to run from the outbuilding into the Big House for about 3 or 4 days. It was turrible.
Today, the temps went up to 30 degrees! It was just like summer but not exactly. I felt that I could make it without freezing to the Big House so here I am in my favorite chair.
Why is this chair my favorite chair, you ask? Well, I like the blue blanket Momma put on here. She put it here to protect this chair from Otis’ claws. Me and Floki, we don’t use our claws in the house because we have the proper manners but Otis is often ill-behaved inside the house if he’s awake. When he does something bad, Momma just firmly says NO and gently picks him up and places him on the stoop for a 5 minute time out.
This is exactly how me and Floki learned not to claw the furniture and not to jump on certain tables and countertops. We learned faster than Otis is, I don’t know what’s wrong with that young man! Look at this guy:

Ok, he looks pretty cute. He snuck in the coat closet today and made himself at home on top of Momma’s hat in the cubby. None of us has ever done this, only Otis!
Otis also brought in a Mourning Dove into the outbuilding yesterday, a great big sucker of a bird. There was feathers everywhere! I mean, why you gotta bring the things into the buildings? Eat it where you caught it! Not only that, the carcass was missing the entire breast. Apparently, Mourning Dove’s are quite busty. PawPaw sent what was left of it to Valhalla (the firepit).
Not sure what’s going on the rest of the week but I’m sure there will be some type of action.
Thanks for stoppin’ by and we’ll talk to ya real soon!

When our cats do something naughty we give a squirt with the spray bottle and it seems to work.

Otis may need more than a time out. My Princess has been bringing her friends over, we’ve got a revolving cat door currently
